I am Dancing Abroad before I Dance a Yard Thanks to GT Network

The blog title is my own play on a Jamaican proverb I grew up hearing.

Learn fi dance a yaad before yuh dance abraad.
TRANSLATION:Learn to dance at home before you dance abroad.
MEANINGS AND EXPLANATIONS: Try perfecting a skill in private before displaying it in public.

Well being my unruly self (like my hair) I had to dance abroad before I danced at home & I have to thank GT Network based in Trinidad & Tobago for that one dance.

#DryLandTouristChronicles: Bahamas Vlog Part 2

After editing the video footage from my trip to Nassau, my computer crashed & I lost the first video. In a stroke of faith or luck, I found the SD card with the footage except our visit to the aquarium but I still edited what I had & did my best to make this vlog.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed my exprience.

Until my next trek…

#Dry Land Tourist Chronicles: Lime Cay

After numerous near trips, I finally made it to Lime Cay!

Lime Cay, a small island off the coast of Kingston, is home of one of most beautiful beaches in all of Jamaica.

Accessible only by water, Lime Cay is popular with local boat owners.

The waters just off Lime Cay Beach, along with the smaller even more isolated cays, are excellent places to go snorkeling, explore underwater caves, and watch for wildlife. These little islands are close to the Norman Manley International Airport, so you can sit back, relax, and watch the flights arrive from all around the world.

On May 2, 2015, I attended a beach fellowship with the Rotary Club of Portmore. Clear waters & seas were the perfect backdrop for a beach day.  It was the perfect day to sail to Lime Cay. Continue reading “#Dry Land Tourist Chronicles: Lime Cay”
