Rolled Ice cream! *Mind Blown*
I first discovered Rolly Polly Ice Cream Shop when my friend Nicole visited last year & sent me a video clip of the process. From that day I had been hell bent on visiting!
Unfortunately, I had to wait awhile to get there…only because the shop is located in Ocho Rios. When I finally got there I was elated!

Rolly Polly is Jamaica‘s First Fried Ice cream Shop!

Fried ice cream?…yes you read right!
Their ice cream is made in front of your eyes on frozen plates!
As we entered the shop we were greeted by a staff member who walked us through the flavour board and gave us a brief overview of what we were about to taste.
I decided to take a 2 flavour options Oreo & Tiki (A wafer bar sold in the Caribbean) which cost me $6 USD ($600 JMD).

The process was so cool to watch.
The ice cream maker started the process by “breaking up” two Oreo cookies & a Tiki bar on the metal plate before adding what appeared to be milk or cream.
Almost instantly the magic began!
In no time my ice cream took form right in front of my eyes.

Once the ice cream was completely frozen & ‘ready’, he proceeded to roll it.
The purchase included not only the rolled ice cream but also whipped cream, syrup & one topping.
I got a coupon for a free topping so I got whipped cream, chocolate syrup, wafers & an Oreo cookie (the extra topping).

I absolutely loved my Rolly Polly experience!
The service was a sweet as the ice cream and the options were just too exciting! It took me a good 10 minutes to decide the combination I wanted.
I definitely recommend a visit because it is as much about the experience as it is about the taste.

Thanks for Stopping by

I first went last October 🙂 definitely a memorable experience. A bit too sweet for my tastes but I’d definitely go again when given the chance.
Thanks for reading! I think it is definitely the experience that gets you with them & the freedom to create your own combination. It has become my desert spot whenever I am in Ochi though.
