It’s probably the Melanin

I did nothing exceptional when I was getting ready this morning, however, I seem to be attracting a little more attention than I am used to.

I don’t know if it is the fact that my mini twist resembles dreads.

I don’t know if it is the fact that I have adorned them with “gold” trinkets.

I don’t know if it is the fact that I have on mostly black.

I don’t know if it is the fact that I used a powder that’s a few shades darker than my natural skin tone.

You see, all I did different this morning, was look in the mirror & I saw the natural glow of my melanin.

My natural crown shining…
